  8. A C:\SYSTEM or C:\SYS folder is the best we can do.  Recommend putting
  9. C:\CPX and C:\GEMSYS and C:\SPEEDO there and re-directing the
  10. appropriate pointers.

  32. Note that this configuration can be done with a TOS 1.0 set-up.
  33. All GDOS's allow you to use any valid GEMDOS path in assign.sys.
  34. CONTROL.INF (again in the damn root) tells Xcontrol where the
  35. CPX directory is.  The AES itself (and therefore Xcontrol)
  36. knows about the CLIPBRD position (actually, XControl tells the
  37. AES, and the AES tells the apps).  We already HAVE a GEMSYS
  38. folder, we just never use it, and its name has never been standardized.
  39. The above works for me, and if my AES allowed me to use an ACC
  40. folder, then I'd work that one too (need MultiTOS or similar).

  42. As for app-defs.sys, looking first in C:/gemsys/appdefs.sys isn't
  43. so hard.  I think that /etc (current drive, which will hopefully be
  44. U:\) should be searched next, or vice-versa.  Then check root
  45. of boot, then CWD, then fail.

  47. When found, put a note in your config file and search that first next
  48. time!!

  54. It can be alot less than 4.  You can have names alot longer than 8+3!
  55. I like folders name MiNT_1.10_Sources instead of MINT110.SRC especially
  56. when you need revision levels, like MiNT_1.10_H5_Sources
